It’s an unfortunate fact, but surveys show that more than 60% of affairs start in the workplace (

It’s understandable really. Two colleagues start working together, develop friendship, share personal stuff, become more attracted to each other, and eventually start a physical affair. It’s the exact same process that happens for two unmarried coworkers. (And the reason why so many people meet their spouse at work!)

Lookout for these four signs your husband is cheating with a coworker:

#1 Work Gone Haywire

If hubbies working patterns change unexpectedly, something could be up. If it involves longer hours, or more after-work meetings and business trips, you should be on high-alert. You know it’s gone haywire when you’re no longer invited to the Christmas Party (or other function), you would previously have been invited to.

#2 Work Tally Score

Any couple needs to provide for their lifestyle, and for many people that means working hard to have the things you want. But there’s a line that shouldn’t be crossed. Where that line is varies for each of us, which is why it can be hard to detect if your husband is working hard, or using work as cover for his affair. The best way is to start to tally the score of work vs you, and who wins his time. If work is racking up the points, and you’re sat somewhere near zero, it’s a big warning sign.

#3 Top Secret Work

Remember the game you played as a child where you hunt for a hidden object, and the person who hid it tells you if you’re getting, “hotter or colder?”

Well, cheating husbands don’t like it when you’re talking about something that may lead you closer to discovering their affair. They don’t like you, “Getting hotter.”

So, if he’s cheating with a coworker, he won’t like to talk about work, a person or work event. The reaction might be subtle, but he’ll have a natural ‘freeze’ reaction and then possibly try and change the subject.

#4 Zero Work Share

Couples in love share what’s been happening with each other while they’ve been apart. They catch each other up. But if he’s now spending more time at work, and doesn’t catch you up on his day, then there’s something wrong.

We can all choose how we spend our time. It’s understandable, if he’s making sacrifices, by working hard, to provide you both with the lifestyle you want. But if he’s avoiding spending time with you, and there are no benefits to the increased workload, you have every reason to be suspicious.
