Hey there, Steve here and welcome to this week’s private eye post in which I’m going to show you some pretty cool ways you can use technology to uncover infidelity. Specifically, we’ll walk through how to catch a cheating spouse on an iPhone.

The Siri Giveaway
I heard a surprising story from a friend where the police used Siri to uncover information about a person they had arrested. Intrigued, I had a look online to see how this sort of thing could be done.
Turns out you can ask Siri a lot about yourself and what you’ve been up to — without needing to enter a password — check out this article.
Hidden Photos & Videos
Most of us who lead normal lives have no reason to have password-protected video and photo folders. But there is an App called, “Vault” which will do exactly this. Now, it might be that your spouse wants to put this on their iPhone, but doesn’t want you to see the installed App.
What most people do is nest their Apps in App folders. Rather than search through a pile of your partner’s Apps, simply do a search by pulling down on their screen.
Android users of Google Maps have long been able to view their previous location data in something called, “Google Timeline.” What you may not know is that iPhones also stash this type of location information.
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and then scroll down to System Services > Significant Locations. Voila, there’s your spouse’s map and list of his or her most frequently visited places along with times and dates of the visits.
These 3 ways of accessing information are by far the most reliable indicators of potential cheating. You should not be tempted by cheap Spyphone Apps and the like. They usually leave clues they’ve been installed.
