Cell Phone Secrets — How To Uncover A Cheating Spouse Using Their Device
Hey there, Steve here and welcome to this week’s private eye post. Today I’m going to show you some methods that are available to catch a cheating partner, by using technology — specifically their mobile device.

#1 Spyware App
There are a number of Spyware Apps that are available on the App stores for both Android and iPhone. Spyware is exactly what it sounds like — the covert installation of an App on another user’s device, that they are unaware of. If you install one of these Apps on your partner’s phone, you will be able to access a lot of information. Things such as their location, text messages, call log and emails, amongst other things. Some of the Apps you can install weren’t made for this purpose, but give you this information nonetheless. This is the most likely method to contravene any laws, so you must beware of all possible legal consequences.
#2 Location Sharing
On an iPhone there exists an App called “Find Friends.” If you go to the App, and allow location sharing to your device, then you will be able to login to the same App on your device and see where your partner is at all times. Furthermore, if you do this with your partner’s permission (which is what we recommend), then you’ll be able to see if it’s turned off at specific times. If it is, then you can reasonably question why.
#3 Cloud Storage
The advent of the cloud brings about many possibilities. Many people are still confused about exactly how the cloud works, and oftentimes unwittingly leave trails they’re not aware of. You can find things like text and email history, visits to dating sites and so on, even if the person thinks they’ve deleted their history.
#4 Check-In or Reviews
We’re all more connected than ever, and this can present opportunity to catch people out. Sharing our daily activities has become almost second nature. We check-in and review things, or like pages on Facebook to take advantage of company incentives. You may find reviews or check-ins for restaurants that your partner simply cannot justify.
#5 Cell Phone Bill
Last, but certainly not least, ignore your partner’s cell phone bill at your peril. Many of us have unlimited calls and texts, but the cell phone companies still send out fully itemised bills. A quick scan will show you all the numbers called, and if there are any that stand out, you can easily investigate further.
Summary
Technology has made it easier for people to hook up, and keep in contact with their fling. But at the same time, there are always ways to find digital footprints that can uncover a cheat. Be careful, stay within the law, and use technology in creative ways to discover the truth.
