4 Ways To Spot Lies In A Cheating Partner

Nobody likes to think their partner is cheating on them. Whatever the reason for your gut instinct kicking in, learning how to spot lies in a cheating partner will enable you to get rid of your suspicions, or highlight the need for you to investigate more closely.

Hey there, Steve here and welcome to this week’s private eye post. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the common tactics employed by cheats to overcome the obstacles they face. In other words, some of the logistical challenges they have to solve.

The biggest challenges are all based on one of the following: time, money, friends/family.

Let’s dive in…

#1 — Time

The first and foremost challenge any cheat faces is making time for their affairs. Most cheats are not stupid and go to quite some lengths to ensure they won’t be caught.

Cheats know that obvious changes to their routines may arouse suspicion.

For example, let’s say they want to make time immediately after work. So, now they need an excuse to work late. But they know that if they’re constantly inventing new excuses for working late, it will be obvious that something is going on.

Instead, look for a new part of a routine that’s regular. For example, going to the gym every morning. Or having a Chiropractic appointment every Wednesday at 5 pm.

Those are much more likely to be the times when they’re enjoying their extramarital activities.

#2 — Money

The next challenge a cheat faces is paying for things — hotel rooms, dinners or extravagant luxuries.

Most forms of payment in today’s society are electronic. Credit cards and contactless systems like Apple Pay are the norms. Unless they’re stupid, or you don’t see their statements, they will need to use cash.

Cash now leaves a trail as it’s unusual.

So if you see your partner making a number of cash withdrawals and you can’t understand why there may be a good reason to investigate.

#3 — Accidents

The first “friends and family” problem a cheat faces are avoiding accidents. How can they ensure they don’t accidentally bump into people they know?

The easiest way is to be in a place where you don’t know anyone — travelling to a different area. Or, in the city, this might include meeting in a hotel room but entering the hotel separately.

Whichever solution is being utilised, the cheat will often turn their phone off during this time. They don’t want you, or anyone they know, calling or texting them while they’re somewhere they’re not supposed to be.

So, if their phones are off regularly and at the same time each week, then you’d be right to be concerned.

#4 — Friendly Chat Dried Up?

Has your spouse stopped talking about their friends as much as they used to? Has the usual ‘gossip’ dried up?

The cheat’s problem is that if they’re spending time with their fling, it means they can’t spend as much time with their friends. And that means they won’t have the usual day-to-day gossip they used to have.

How does a cheat overcome this problem?

It can manifest in a number of ways. Some will overtalk a point or repeat conversations they’ve had with you before. Some will even talk about the person they’re having an affair with but in a platonic way.

In Summary:

Cheats face significant obstacles in making time and money available for the person they’re having an affair with. They are forced to find ways to navigate these obstacles and as a result, leave clues as to what’s going on.
